Jim Moran's Campaign Bio Leaves Out His 1984 Plea Bargain, Resignation And Conviction
His Financial Scandals, Including His MBNA Loan Posted by Jonathan Mark on Wednesday, February 04, 2004

Obfuscation On His Website Results In Mysterious Gap In His Work History

Jim Moran's campaign propaganda site, jimmoran.org includes a highly incomplete bio. It states that "Jim went on to serve as Vice Mayor of the city from 1982 to 1984, and was elected Mayor in 1985.

The gap is unexplained. Voters have a right to know that as part of a plea bargain, a Virginia state court convicted James Moran of misdemeanor conflict-of-interest in 1984. The plea bargain required Moran to resign.

I repeatedly voted for James Moran for years in the 1990s before I ever found out about his criminal past. How many current Moran voters know about it? You can read what syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin had to say about Moran's conviction here.
