Canvassing for the candidate of your choice is fun! This afternoon I went door-to-door canvassing with the Andy Rosenberg for Congress campaign. Andy, his volunteer coordinator Shawn Grady, and his campaign intern James from NYU were in the car with me. We went door to door dropping off literature with potential voters. It is real easy. James had a list of the houses we were going to. We would ring the doorbell, hand the literature to the person who answered, and let James know what kind of reaction we got. Andy is Moran's only challenger in the upcoming (June 8?) Democratic primary. However, there is also a Republican selection process which will choose a Republican challenger to Moran in the November general election. There are four candidates for the Republican nomination. Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, I urge you to volunteer for the Moran opponent of your choice. < | >

"[Cong. Parris is] a deceitful, fatuous jerk. . . .
I want to break his nose."
—James Moran in the Aug. 29, 1990 Washington Post, referring to his opponent. | |
