James Moran Voted Against The ACLU Eighty Percent Of The Time
General Discussion Posted by Jonathan Mark on Friday, January 09, 2004
Moran constantly jumping ship to vote with Republicans
An ACLU member who is honest about his politics will oppose the incumbency of James Moran.

On its webpage about James Moran the American Civil Liberties Union stated: "Percentage of the time Rep. Moran voted with the ACLU: 20%"

Among Moran's votes:

"A vote to support an Alabama judge who continues to post the Ten Commandments on his courtroom wall despite a higher court's ruling that it was unconstitutional.

The ACLU opposed this resolution" But James Moran voted FOR it. Moran voted with the Republican majority on this one instead of being one of the 125 who opposed it.

The site also mentions Moran opposing the ACLU on flag desecration, abortion issues and juvenile justice.
