What Might Have Been: Kate Hanley Receives Standing Ovation At Inauguration
General Discussion Posted by Jonathan Mark on Tuesday, December 16, 2003
The Post reports on the inauguration of the new chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
From the 12/16/03 Washington Post:

"Connolly replaces Katherine K. Hanley, who decided earlier this year against running for a third full term in order to challenge U.S. Rep. James P. Moran Jr., a fellow Democrat.

Citing family concerns, Hanley withdrew from that race last month. The crowd of more than 500 people gave her a standing ovation when she was introduced."
