Moran is trying to make local power plants one of his high-visibility issues. From the Washington Post: "Correction Sunday, December 14, 2003; Page B08 In his Nov. 30 Close to Home piece "Dangerous Dinosaurs," Rep. James P. Moran Jr. (D-Va.) said that Pepco owns four area power plants. Pepco sold the plants to Mirant Corp in 2000. It does, however, continue to own the land on which the Potomac River Power Plant is located."
