CNN Columnist Bill Schneider notes (Click here and then on button for Turkey #9 to see complete text of CNNs award to Moran.) in explaining how Moran won the award:

"...Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia told an antiwar forum in March, 'If it were not for the strong support of the Jewish community for this war with Iraq, we would not be doing this.'

His remark was also followed by serial apologizing -- 'I’m terribly sorry for it. I apologize for it.' -- with political consequences to follow."
